WOW! I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE WITH THIS CRAPP! MY DASH IS SHOT. TWO HUGE CRACKS; ONE IN THE MIDDLE FROM THE WINDSHIELD TO THE VENT AND THEN SOME, THE OTHER ON THE PASSENGER SIDE STARTING FROM THE TRAY AND PROCEEDING ALMOST TO THE GLOVE BOX. I'M LOOKING FOR IT TO JUST COMPLETELY FALL APART ANY DAY NOW. I HAVEN'T CONTACTED DODGE YET, BUT I FEEL CERTAIN JUDGING FROM THE REST OF THE COMPLAINTS, THEY'LL DO NOTHING. I ALSO OWN A '97 FORD AND IT HAS NONE OF THESE ISSUES. IF DODGE DOESN'T COME AROUND, MY NEXT FULL SIZE TRUCK WON'T BE A DODGE!

Well, as I can see from all these complaints I'm not alone on this one!...I too take excellent care of my truck and this is the kind of thing that just pisses me off to no end. You spend a stack of cash on a vehicle and treat it right and this is how you get repaid by Dodge...cracked dash, defective rack and pinion steering, bad HVAC controls, bad parking brake, bad wiring harness, bad transmission/diff., bad paint, and on, and on, and on....never again...Hello Toyota Tundra...ADIOS DODGE!!!...

I got in my truck this morning and noticed a crack in the dash on the right side in front of the passenger seat. It goes front the front of the dash straight back to the middle. I couldn't believe it, then once I started looking closer there was 2 more cracks in the middle up by the windshield. My truck only has just over 31,000 miles and still looks new. I'm the only owner so I know it has always been taken care of. How could the dash just crack like this for no reason? Dodge needs to do something about this! This is now the only defect on my truck and it's driving me crazy. I had no idea this was a common issue until I seen this site when I was looking online to find a replacement and to see how much this was going to cost me. Has anyone found a good fix for this? Also, has anyone had there's replaced, if so, how much can I expect to pay?

I was on the internet tonight looking for used dashboards to replace mine myself, but then i found this site listing familiar sounding complaints, now im discouraged...My story is the same as everyone else s, i had no idea, it all started with a small crack in the center area closest to where the windshield meets the dash and a week later my dash has several bigger cracks from one end to the other...I'm not interested in ever owning another Chrysler product if i'm stuck with the costs...I can barely afford anything these days and i don't have even $500.00 lying around to put towards a new dash that will probably end up the in the same condition...i'm also interested in a class-action if anyone is monitoring these posts...please get in contact with me...spread the word, dodge needs to address this problem...

I have gotten so disgusted with the fact that Dodge doesn't want to take any responsibility towards correcting this issue. Was it just a batch of bad plastic that affected the dash boards in hundreds or thousands of trucks(my truck is a Ram 1500 quad cab 4 door)? Were the casting molds dimensions for the plastic dash or the area the plastic dash mounts to out of tolerance allowing time and stress to cause the plastic to prematurely fail. I think it was a batch of bad plastic or possibly no, or inadequate UV protection in the windshield for the design. Probably bad plastic or problems during the molding process with the dash manufacturer and Dodge should go after the dash manufacturer to have the dash replaced.

Major impact on the physical appearance of an otherwise good looking truck. Impacts resell value by as much as a fender bender, wreck with a less than perfect repair, or bad paint job or dents and dings. Affects owner's pride in ownership.

Impacts present owners and future buyers from the perspective that Dodge does not place significant value on problems created by them or their component manufacturer's.

I thought first crack would relieve the stress on the dash and stop growing. I was wrong.

Took by local dealer. Local dealer, service manager admitted Dodge had experienced problems with dash cracking in some trucks. Did not offer to contact Dodge area service rep. I figured from his comments that Dodge had already blown off any impact this would have with customer happiness and was not going to act on this problem on a recall or per customer basis.

Did I mention that I have a 1995 F150 and a 1992 F250 and that the plastic dash on neither of those trucks are cracked or cracking.

More later
several more cracks have appeared over the last few years and have grown from the windshield to the face of the dashboard. with no sign of the crack arresting its spread.

When I bought my truck I never would have thought that my dash would be looking like this after only a few years. This is very upsetting. These trucks are very expensive to have such poor quality on the dash. I would like to have my dash fixed. If I got it fixed I would be a happy man. Other than this dash cracked all to pieces I love the truck. I have no other complaints. I may even buy another dodge truck some day.

This was a brand new truck bought right off the showroom floor with under 200 miles when purchased...I am pissed off about the whole situation because I have had several service managers tell me that Dodge should have replaced the dash...and yet to this day I still have over 5 very large cracks which takes away from the appearance of the truck and I believe could in fact be a danger to me and my passengers if I were ever in a crash. It should have been recalled when the first problems showed up and Dodge
should have acknowledged that there was in fact a problem...instead they try a sell you a replacement part that will only cost you additional ...also the paint on the right front fender and the hood was redone in 2004 at a Dodge dealer in Marion Illinois' now I have several spots on the fender and hood with a large chip that is missing on the fender the size of a silver dollar that has come loose and shows the primer . So what can you do when you do all the right things and Dodge won't make their mistakes right?

The dash started cracking near the windshield during the spring. Now the main dash is cracking. I found this web site by accident looking for a replacement dash. I was shocked to see how many people with the same problem! Not only the 2002, but all others as well. After seeing all these complaints, I printed them out ant went to the Dealership where I bought my truck. They looked at it and said they would fix it at my expense for $1,288.00 I told them it was clearly a defect and should be recalled. They said it wasn't a safety issue and they would not fix it.It's no wonder why people are buying foreign made auto's. Chrysler needs to step up to the plate and fix these issues!
I am going to contact Better Business Bureau, I will be seeking legal advice. I have bought my last Dodge / Chrysler vehicle.

Listen up Dodge. I have worked hard for what I have and this is not the result I would prefer from the product in which that hard earned money went to. What the heck!

My dash started to crack dead center from the windshield (which was appr. 6" long). Then a few months later, the passenger side started to crack directly above the vent which covers the speaker. It is now sticking straight-up in the air. (LOOKS HORRIFIC).
Do the right thing and stand behind your product.

This is now the second time I have had problems with Dodge vehicles. (1999 Durango) I won't even go there!

The dashboard in my 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab 4x4 started cracking after just 3 years. I checked with a dealership and they said that it was not covered under warranty and that it would cost approx $1400 to replace. This is stupid, especially after reading about how many Dodge vehicles this is happening to. I have ALWAYS bought American and would like to continue but with the cost of vehicles and the way the economy is going I might not be able to afford it. Dodge should step up and do the right thing if they want to keep their loyal customers!!!!!! Does anyone know if Dodge has done anything to address this problem?

But now is all across through the center of dashboard it really look bad
I do own another dodge van that I have for many years and never have this kind of problems..
I still believe dodge are the best cars for me.. If they don't fix the problem I still going to fix it But I think is Just not Right for us to pay for a cheap dashboard that they put on it.

Im afraid to pay for a new dashboard that is going to be cheap plastic as this one.

So i get these cracks going from front to back on my Ram. I took it in to my local dealer.(south point dodge) They told me that they would take care of it for a $500 deductible to which I said no.I than called Chrysler and informed them of what had happened and what I thought of their product. They called the dealer to confirm the problem and told me that the best they could do for me was to have me pay the same $500 deductible. I had accomplished absolutely nothing by calling them. I then told them that I had owned a 1996,1998,2001 and two 2002 Dodge pickups over the years and that I had totally lost my confidence in their product. Their answer, (well your out of the warr. period and we really don't have to assist you at all.) I assured them that as long as I live, I will never again own another Dodge,Chrysler,Plymouth or anything remotely Mopar for as long as I live and that I would spread the word like a wildfire on the driest year in California.

I am very disappointed in this problem that Dodge apparently is not correcting. I am very happy with my truck and I was planning on keeping it for several more years but if the dash completely deteriorates, what use is the truck? I have taken exceptional care of this vehicle and now I am discovering that I would have to spend an additional $1500 to fix a MANUFACTURING DEFECT. Dodge, in these tough economic times, stuff like this is going to hurt you badly. You need your loyal base of customers and if this problem is not corrected, you are going to lose it, including this loyal customer, all because of cheap plastic on dash boards.

I'VE SEEN COMPLAINTS OF 2001 DODGE RAMS REGARDING THE DASHBOARD CRACKING BUT I OWN A 2002 DODGE RAM AND I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. IT STARTED AS ONE SMALL CRACK MEASURING AT ABOUT 2 INCHES. WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN IT TURNED TO 5 BIG CRACKS. IM HOPING THAT DODGE DOES A RECALL BEFORE MY DASHBOARD COLLAPSES LIKE I'VE SEEN OTHER PEOPLE COMPLAINT ABOUT. I BELIEVE IT'S UNFAIR I AS WELL AS OTHERS IM SURE TAKE VERY GOOD CARE OF OUR VEHICLES. MAKING SURE TO PARK FAR FROM OTHER VEHICLES TO AVOID SCRATCHES AND DENTS. I called Dodge, spoke to an overseas customer rep, GOT NO WHERE! Some have been lucky enough to get Dodge to fix there's, but I'm not one of them. At first it was a tiny hair line crack.
Called dodge, a total waist of time. Not under warranty.
Over time more & more Cracks show up.
I even started using sun screen in the windshield when parking out side in the sun light.
As of today 08-12-2008, there are over 12 cracks, in both sections. Dealer, and national hot line of no help. A long wait kist for replacement. To the tune of $1600. for both sections. There are no aftermarket parts made, only stick on "cover-ups".
I'll never buy another dodge.

I see alot of Dodge owners are having to deal with the cracks in the dash. Well it did indeed happen to me and it sucks. I have several cracks and one big Grand Canyon going all the way from front to back of my dash. People have always compliment me on how will I kept up with my truck and now I have this. I cannot believe this is happening to so many people and Dodge has not done anything to fix it. I have seen pictures of chunks of this cheap plastic coming off trucks. I though I would get a dash cover but what happens when chunks of mine fall out. What is going to keep the dash cover up? I think every time a piece comes off I am going to drive out to the dealership and dump it in the lobby. I hate to say it but this is my last Dodge vehicle. If they can't admit the screwed up with cheap plastic than see ya. I have my Duck Tape on stand by ready to use.

I LOVE my truck, and it is my 4th Dodge, all purchased new. Unfortunately, this is the first one I've kept after paying it off. Now, I have recently had three cracks appear in my dashboard. After reading about complaints other people have had regarding their own dodge dashboards, I am convinced that it is a defective part and Dodge should stand up for this issue. There is no room for this problem, as it is potentially dangerous and may affect the function of the air bags. My local dealer tells me it will cost me around $1,000 for a new dashboard, but before that happens, I will do my own repairs. HELP!!!

Dashboard has totally fallen apart. The right thing for dodge to do is replace the dash. Its a well documented issue now. The rest of the truck is fine, typical maintenance issues but the dashboard is really a bad deal and unfair that a truck that is 4 years old has a dashboard that essentially exploded.

I know that Chrysler knows about this problem since 1999, just do a Google search on 1999 Dodge Crack Dashboard, you'll find that you're not alone. I don't think mileage on your truck should be an issue. The issue is a Cracked Dashboard that should be replaced by Chrysler, especially if it's a recall. Any one who rides in my Dodge truck, I always should them the cracks in the Dash and ask them do you really want to buy Dodge.
The product speaks for itself! It's obvious that the dash is a brittle piece of plastic that gets heat stress cracks during those hot days from expansion and contraction! Brittle plastic does not expand and contract, it cracks! C'mon Chrysler, step up to the plate, be honorable for once!
My stepson owns a 2005 Ford Focus and the Dash is made of some firm rubber that shows no signs of cracking and hes never taken care of it.
You can clean your Dodge Truck Dash and put all kinds of protectants on your Dash, it's going to crack. It's Cheap Plastic! Can anyone tell me if they recalled it yet? Probably not! This is the last Dodge I will ever buy, I hate manufacturers that don't stand by their products.

Crack started small and now has run up the dash right infont of the steering wheel. With a second crack starting a the left air intake. I have always kept a windshield shade on the dash and the windows cracked. Dodge should step up and cover the cost of this vehicle. I am in the market for a new vehicle. We are looking to buy a new van to replace the 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan looks like we will look at Toyota or Honda since Chrysler isn't stepping up top the plate on quality.

I now have 2 long vertical cracks in the dashboard of my 2002 dodge I bought in October 2001 and the vehicle has been either garaged or parked under a carport the entire life of the vehicle. the dashboard material plastic composite is not thick enough to endure the sunlight uv rays and becomes brittle which results in easy cracking from exposure. I paid 29,950.00 for this vehicle brand new and not satisfied in numerous defects including the cheap drink cup holder and ashtray fold down design that latches where out in 50,000 miles interior light lenses fall out while driving and the automatic transmission slipping which i have had rebuilt at 78,000 miles

on june 10,2008, i got into my truck to take fellow workers to lunch only to see that my dash had a crack that ran from the windshield completely across the front piece. i work for an engineering firm which we take clients to lunch from time to time in our own vehicles and this is not something you want to have clients who are thinking about giving you projects that are worth millions to see. we pay alot of money for theses vehicles and should not have to worry about something cosmetic such as this going wrong with them. now to only learn that this is going to get worse, and there doesn't seem to be a manufacture fix or responsibility to this problem. i firmly believe that with as many cases there seems to be with this, that Chrysler would step up and figure out a solution to our problem. i also own a 97' dodge ram 1500, and i don't have a problem with its dash cracking, so it appears that they have changed the material being used today and may need to reconsider using a better one. however, i do love my dodge truck, and its reliability, just not the problem of having a dash that is going to continue to crack up.

This is my daughters first truck-She was so proud to be driving it, and now she is embarrassed to have anyone ride in it because of the dash. It went from a small crack to the entire dash falling into two complete pieces and two more cracks have started. She wanted to buy another Dodge product for college, but I am really rethinking that. Dodge should step up and fix this issue. I live in Az(stationed Army) I have three cracks on my dash that are 5 inches long and still going. I though it was the heat but by reading the logs its happening everywhere. I was thinking about an up graded ( 2500 Megacab) after reading this I don't think so. I clean the truck once a week and use my windshield shades all the time. But it is only a 6 year old truck come on. We have never owned vehicles with cracked dashboards. I was cleaning my dash board and I noticed a little crack in the top of the dash board vent. I was upset that my dash vent had a crack in it. I kept an eye on it, and as days went by it kept cracking more and more. After two weeks went and I noticed that the vent broke all the way off, and after a short time the corner dash on the passenger side has cracked as well. I always keep a window shade up when I park my truck and I try to park in the shade. I have never had a truck or car with a cracked dash before. I think Dodge should recall the vehicles that have cracked dashes. I have a 1992 Jeep Wrangler and the dash is prefect.

Noticed a crack the entire length of dash from windshield to instrument panel in middle of dash. Thought that was strange because I think it may have cracked all at one time.
A few weeks later I was wiping the dash with damp cloth and ran over defrost vent in
the dash when it begin to break out into small pieces as though it were very brittle.
I couldn't understand why the dash could be so brittle after only a few years.
I started researching after the same problem was featured on the local news
hear in Jackson from a complaint by a local resident.
I agree that this is a common problem with the Dodge Trucks and need to be replaced
by Dodge.
I'm with Lillian from TX, I will contact my Attorney Generals office here in Mississippi and
maybe if enough people complain to the right source Dodge will be made to correct this defect at no cost to the owner. I feel this is only fair....

I was gently cleaning my dash one day when I suddenly heard a cracking noise come from the center of the dashboard near a vent. I could see it was cracked but figured it was my fault somehow. A while later a second crack appeared in the same area of the dashboard, the second one coming from the other side of the same vent as the first one. They are visible and make my nice truck look like a cheap piece of crap. The material used for the dash is obviously sub-standard and brittle, as I have a 1988 Honda Accord with NO cracks in the dash.

I contacted Dodge/Chrysler about my problem and they promised to help me get it fixed. The agreement is that they will pay 700. and I will pay 200. to the Frank Parra Dealership where I purchased the truck. My husband and I have been waiting on the dashboard parts(both front and back) to come in from the manufacturer for almost two months now. I have been told that no dealership in the US has the part it will have to be made. However, when I last checked with the dealership,(the service mgr.informed me that the part has not been manufactured since the truck was first made, and whenever they make the part, one will be sent; however, it is not high on Dodge's priority list.

My husband and I have purchased over thirty vehicles in our lifetimes, and we have never seen such mess as this. Further, I think we all should copy the comments about this problem to the Attorney General in our specific state, because I was told by Dodge/Chrysler headquarters that they were not aware of such problem that anyone else has had. That seems to be incorrect on someone's part. Perhaps the dealerships are not reporting the issues.

In order to report this, and let's do, by all means. Please contact the Attorney General's office of your specific state. If you know of anyone else having such problems, please have them add their issue to this site as well. Something definitely needs to be done in order for Dodge to get these parts to the dealerships so we may get our vehicles fixed, and I definitely want mine fixed, and I want them to pay for it since I am not the only one having this problem as I was initially told.

Hoped into the truck and saw two large cracks across the dashboard. Both are on the right passenger side. One is on the back portion of the dashboard nearest the windshield and the second is on the front portion of the windshield.

We have taken very good care of our truck and there is no reason for this to be happening. And, due to the other number of complaints that I have seen - it is obviously a design flaw and should be covered by Dodge.

But that is not the real problem, they cracked my dashboard when they repaired it Friday and didn't even tell me anything. I called and told them I am bringing it in for them to look at and replace it tomorrow. I was told that they would have to evaluate the circumstances. But this happened last year when they replaced the blower motor and sensor and put a small crack on the most forward dashboard and they did not do
anything to repair it, saying that it was sun damage. That is not true, I baby and take excellent care of my vehicles. I am so disappointed with Dodge and now I will not buy future vehicles from them........ I will go back to Ford products

Dash is cracked in three places . Would never take to dodge dealer in hanford, Ca they screw up more than they have repaired.

Took my truck in to have the mirrors retrofitted due to recall because the mirrors could fall off while driving . Approximately one month after repairs was made the mirrors fell off anyhow . Took my truck back a second time to repair again . after repairs was complete the panel that controls the windows and door locks was broken due to repairs to mirrors. Waited about a month to get replacement control panels from dodge.about this time the seat lever that lets the seat back broke. I complained about that a month later i was told the part was in after the truck was in the shop all day i was told the part was order about two weak went by i was called and told my part was in.I made another appt. Again the part was wrong. On the fifth attempt to fix the seat they installed a motor that controls the seat that moves back and forth .There was nothing wrong with that part.Due to dodge taking the seat out every time I was there they tore a hole in the carpet. At this point i was wanting to drop kick something If you know what i mean . So i Asked the service manager to please not damage anything else . the carpet was replaced but in doing so when I left the dealership the airbag light was on. "Cause" you guest it there stupidity

I am not surprised I am the only one. I have seen other 2002 ram owners at the gas stations and they have the same problem. The &^%)ing dashboard keeps cracking. I also two cracks in the main dashboard above the instrument cluster and the passenger side. The front piece is about $150 and the main piece is about $450. I have not had any real mechanical problem with the truck except normal wear and tear. But this tears it. Like others I have never used any products on it but a damp cloth to remove dust and dirt but the cracks keep coming. Every vent and speaker grill on the front dash has one or more cracks coming from them.

Of all the problems I think I could have dealt with, a damn bunch of cracks in my dashboard certainly wasn't one of them. As a matter of fact, I'm being kind by calling them cracks, they're more like 'splits'. Now I've heard all the excuses for Dodge not being responsible for the dash board issues. And every single one doesn't pertain to me. I never used Armourall or anything thing that would conceivably weaken the plastic used. The most, I used a damp cloth, considering that it's plastic to begin with, I didn't see the need to waste money on special interior cleaners. And being that this level of trim has the airbag on the passenger side, I'm scared to even think about what might happen if it were to go off by accident and pieces of the dashboard fly into my passenger's face.

But that's not all. It seems to me that every other plastic component in my truck is not snapping apart. air vents, reflectors, you name it. If it's plastic, it's coming apart now. If there's anything that needs to be done, Dodge should put out a recall to fix this problem. For many of us owners, this is our only means of transportation. Having told the dealership about this issue, I was told it would cost around $1000 to fix it. Hell, with that kind of money, I can take it to a fabrication shop and have them to make me one out of carbon fiber for the same amount and never see this problem again.

Well i bought the truck used in 2006 of april. It's a regular cab slt sharp looking truck but about a month after buying it a huge crack running down the right center appeared. A week later rolls by another crack and both cracks go across the dash. I have read on one site that a test was done on someone's dash also i believe 2003 model ram 1500. For christs sake Chrysler still cannot make good interior. I also refuse to buy a ford or gm now. I liked the room in it for a reg cab . Also my fiance she has an 02 with the same damn problem we both had to buy dash covers. Just the other day i took it in for a recall and mentioned it to the tech. He replied really let me look then shrugged it off. I hate Chrysler s attitude and they have turned out to be a crappy co. I see no Mercedes Benz quality. My second one and never another. They ride like crap and only thing going for them is 2002-2005 body style now they are fugly. Oh hell they are junk!Screw you Chrysler i say class action lawsuit to these jackasses.

Back to my dashboard cracks. Some people might think the dashes are caused by the sun or heat build up in the vehicle during summer months. I DISAGREE with these assumptions. REASON 1: The cracks in the dash appear to early, normally within two years of purchase (IF NEW). REASON 2: My truck is kept in the garage at home and I park it indoors at work most of the time. The pricing to replace the dashboard is over 1000 dollars. It seems to be more of a manufacture problem. Maybe the plastic that is used to make the dash doesn't form correctly causing it to stress and crack under normal working pressure.

The dashboard started to crack 2 weeks after the 36 month warranty expired (only 24,000 miles and I am the original owner). The dealer said it wouldn't be covered and parts would cost about $350. Since then, the dash has continued to crack, and now, it's really a mess. I've only had one other issue with the truck since I bought it and that was a defective taillight component. The truck has been great except for the one minor defect and the continuing problem with the dash. This was my first Dodge and it will be my last. Either the engineering of the dash or the dash material itself (or both) were defective and should have been acknowledged and corrected by the manufacturer.

At first, noticed hair line crack around one of the defrost vents, then another,
then another until they made their way up to dash covering instrument panel. Then
cracking across glove box. You can push (lightly) on the crack and look inside!! This
has to be bad for the passenger side air bag if deployment is needed. The service department (same place I purchased truck) said they would work with me on price
but there was no "RECALL" on this. Truck has 93700 miles on it now and other than
burns alot of fuel and the dash looks like crap, I like my truck. Many friends have gave compliments on looks but when they see the inside and notice the dash they just
tell me.. "That's what you get for buying a Dodge". This is my first Dodge purchase
and would like to keep truck for long haul, but if I have to shuck $1400.00 to replace
a dash, might as well put that $ down on a new truck.....other than Dodge.

You cannot imagine the size and number of cracks that are in my dashboard - unless you're a fellow Dodge Ram owner. They must have purchased the cheapest, non-UV-safe plastic they could find. I'm afraid for the components that are inside the dash (i.e., air bags, hvac, countless wires, etc.), as my dash is literally turning to gravel. The dealer quoted me around $1,700 to have the dash replaced, but why, I'm afraid a replacement would crack after the 12-month warranty, and then I'd be in the same boat. I'm really disappointed in my purchase, and therefore, I'll never buy another Chrysler product. Additionally, I think I've been successful in convincing family, friends and colleagues to stay away. Shame on you Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge - you suck donkey dong.

next few months the entire dashboard has cracked from the window to the steering column. There is a 2" difference from one point to the other. This truck is garaged and care is taken to keep it in good condition. The air vent has fallen down because of the cracked dash. I have never seen a dashboard crack like this for such a new car. The dealership gives me the run around and says it is not their problem. Dodge needs to fix this problem or something should be done so they don't make defect trucks. This is why every one tells me to buy a foreign car. Let me know if any one is able to get Dodge to honor what they sell.my dash started with a small spider crack and over the monts

I have a Two Toned 2002 Dodge Ram, Flame Red and Silver, I get a lot of compliments about this truck. It is a head turner, and then when you see the cracks in the dash you really turn your head. It has two cracks from the windshield to the glove box. Went into work and no cracks came out from work and there was the first one, next day the second one came in. I have heard this complaint from many people. I work at a heavy equipment manufacturer and talk to customers everyday, you would not believe how many have had this problem. Like many have said before, nice looking truck, UGLY DASH!

CRACKS IN THE DASHBOARD. WHAT THE........I take pretty good care of my truck. So imagine my surprise when I jumped in the driver seat and there are three cracks running down the dashboard. It baffles me how the cracks just appeared and seem to be getting worse. They started close to the window and are working there way to the TAILGATE. I can't even fathom replacing the dashboard, but it's such an eye sore. What did DODGE do, buy the cheapest grade of plastic they could find when they manufactured the dashes. If a product fails, shouldn't the manufacturer be responsible for replacing it?

One day while detailing my truck, I noticed a small crack in the dash near the defrost vent. It just kept getting bigger and bigger, then I noticed another. My dash is now broken completely through in two places all the way from the windshield to the instrument panel.

I was washing my truck before taking my brother in-law to the airport. When it came to detailing the inside I found a damn huge crack in the dash. It was right above the glove box and went all the way to the window and even cracked the plastic trim piece in front of the window. I looked at it more and found spider cracks near the vent next to the door. i went to the dealer. About crapped a brick, $540 dollars for the dash, oh yeah it was on back order. Then another $800 dollars or so for labor. WHAT THE HELL. I thought Dodge trucks were the best but dame. I think that we ALL need to email DODGE the corporate HQ every day to get this fixed.

Oh yeah when I was talking to the service guy it was not covered under my warranty then he asked if I used Armor-All. I was like yes, He said well that was the problem because it weakens the dash. Who the hell has ever heard of that. Every detail shop I know uses it on all the cars from high end to low end. If this is a problem with Dodge then I might as well have bought a Ford or Chevy!!
